Burt Reynolds introduces the new “Bandit” Trans Am: Video

Although the Pontiac brand is no longer in business, the true fans of the Trans Am can still purchase one and for the real hardcore fans, there is the option of the vehicle being approved by Burt Reynolds.
Inspired from the world famous ’77 movie Smokey and the Bandit, the good people at Trans Am Depot have been making brand new “Screaming Chickens” from the skeleton of the fifth generation Chevrolet Camaro. The vehicle is aptly named Trans Am SE Bandit Edition and only a limited edition of 77 vehicles will be constructed in honor of the year of the last century that the movie came out.
The famous actor took active part in the design and the development of the Screaming Chicken that will surely be graced by a T-Top roof and a small block V8 producing 840 horsepower.
Now for the said or sobering fact which is that all that guts and glory will not come cheap in any means, the vehicle’s MSRP is around $ 115,000 for the cheapest version, including the purchase of the donor vehicle on which it is based on.
So if this Chicken is to your liking and the price tag fits your budget, you better hurry up and get in line for one since with the limited production there is no guaranties that supplies will last.
